The Indonesian island of Luang ( indon. Pulau Luang ) belongs to the Sermata Islands ( Southern Moluccas ).

Luang is west of the main island of Sermata . To the north are the islands of Liakra , Tiara and Kepuri , and to the south-east are Matumara . The island of Kalapa is located between Sermata and Luang . They all belong to the sub-district ( Kecamatan ) Mdona Hiera ( Mdona Hyera ), which is part of the administrative district ( Kabupaten ) of the southwestern Moluccas ( Maluku Province ).
