The Indonesian island of Sermata ( indon. Pulau Sermata ) is the largest of the Sermata Islands ( southern Moluccas ).

geography

Sermata is located in the east of the Sermata Islands. To the west are the islands of Kepuri , Tiara and Kalapa and further west are the other islands of the group. Together they form part of the outer band and belong to the sub-district ( Kecamatan ) Mdona Hiera ( Mdona Hyera ), which is part of the administrative district ( Kabupaten ) of the southwestern Moluccas ( Maluku Province ). The Banda Sea is to the north and the Timor Sea to the south . Further to the east are the Babar Islands .

Lelang , the main town of the sub-district is on the south coast of Sermata.
