Luc-Peter Crombé

Luc-Peter Crombé (born January 14, 1920 in Opwijk ; † May 17, 2005 in Sint-Martens-Latem ) was a Belgian painter .

Life

Luc-Peter Crombé began his training at the St. Lucas Academy in Ghent , from there he followed the Constant Permeke class to the Hoger Institut voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp . He then spent five years with Jos Verdegem in Ghent. Crombé supplemented this with tireless self-study, based on analyzing and copying the old masters in domestic and foreign museums.

In addition, Crombé enjoyed a special training (antiquity and restoration) at the École du Louvre . He was able to put this training into practice in the Atelier van Gelde (Gent) as well as with Serulaz in the Louvre.

He lived in Sint-Martens-Latem since 1970, where he represented the so-called fourth group of the Latemse School with Maurice Schelck , Fons Roggeman , Joe Van Rossem , Chris Pots , Jef Wauters and Lea Vanderstraeten .
