Luca Scinto

Luca Scinto (born January 28, 1968 in Galleno near Florence ) is a former Italian cyclist and sports director of a cycling team .

In 1994 he got a professional contract with the Italian cycling team GB-MG Maglificio . From 1999 to 2002 he then drove for the Mapei Quickstep team, where he ended his active career. His greatest successes were winning the Giro di Toscana and the Gran Premio Città di Camaiore .

After he was in charge of the Quickstep junior team in the meantime , he became the sports director of a professional team in 1999, which was founded that year under the name ISD-Neri . After being criticized in public for numerous doping cases by this team, he resigned from this position at the end of 2014.
