Lucas Gastón Robertone (born March 18, 1997 in Concordia ) is an Argentine football player who is under contract with the first division club CA Vélez Sarsfield . The midfielder has been the Argentine U23 international since September 2019 .
Career

Lucas Robertone, born in Concordia , comes from the youth work of CA Vélez Sarsfield , where he was promoted to the first team for the 2016/17 season. On August 27, 2016 (1st matchday) he made his debut in the 0-2 away defeat against Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in the top Argentine division when he came on for Gonzalo Díaz in the 83rd minute . After he was also used in the next league game, he received no further playing time for the entire further season. In the course of the next 2017/18 season, the midfielder made the jump into the starting line-up from the new head coach Gabriel Heinze . On February 24, 2018 (17th match day) he shot his team to a 1-0 home win against River Plate with his first league goal . On April 21 (24th matchday) he scored two goals in the away game against CA Temperley in the final phase, which brought Fortín a 4-2 win. During this season he played 16 league games in which he was able to score five goals.
He retained his status as an important regular in the following season 2018/19 and in mid-November 2018 he extended his contract until the end of the season 2020/21. This season he was used in 23 league games, in which he met again five times. In the 2019/20 season, which was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic , he played 22 league games in which he scored two goals.
National team
Lucas Robertone has been with the Argentine U23 national team since September 2019 . He was not in the squad for the qualifying tournament for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo , which was held in January 2020 .
