Luciano Odorisio (born March 7, 1942 in Chieti ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Odorisio worked twice as an actor and assistant director for his friend Guido Celano at the end of the 1960s and then remained involved in the latter role until 1970 in the making of several films, including works by the Taviani brothers, Marco Ferreri and Maurizio Ponzi . During the following decade he worked exclusively for television, often with Silverio Blasi, and in 1979 also made his first own film, Educativa autorizzato , for the screen . He won the Premio Rizzoli for the best first work. In the 1980s, there followed successful films with audiences such as the remarkable Sciopèn , which received an award in Venice, followed by films that were not very exciting artistically, such as the costume thriller La monaca di Monza for the big screen. In the new millennium he returned to television, for which he filmed crime films and other subjects. Here sparked Il mio figlio with Lando Buzzanca in one of the lead roles in 2005 controversy because Odorisio established a gay character, without questioning its inclination.
