Uccideva a freddo is a 1966 produced in Italy and not listed in the German-speaking spaghetti westerns , one of only two directorial work of the actor Guido Celano represents. The critics were not very enthusiastic about the film, which was made after La montagna spaccata by W. Charlie Reed .

José Desmet kills his employer Salazar, the former district judge, because he has sentenced Desmet's father, a famous outlaw, to death and buried some gold with the Indian "Sleeping Wolf". After the crime, he terrorizes the residents of the nearby town of Anaconda and tries to seduce Salazar's daughter, who is also the heir to a gold mine. In addition, he carries on other dark business, such as weapons with the Indians, and kills Mrs. Peikok (sic!) And the doctor of the mining town because they had discovered him. Government official Bill McGregor follows the bandit’s heels with the local sheriff, infiltrates his gang, prevents some wrongdoing and finally puts an end to the evil.

criticism

  • Christian Keßler judges: “From a film point of view, this film is definitely not a revelation” , but attests to it “a more interesting storyline and an acceptable cast of actors” .

Remarks

Like many genre reproductions in a lower price range, the film was distributed regionally.

The Wilder Brothers, who also appear as singers in the film, perform their song "He wore a silver star".
