Luciano Velardi (born August 20, 1981 in Wuppertal - Ronsdorf ) is a former German - Italian soccer player .

Career

Velardi, who comes from the youth of his home club TSV 05 Ronsdorf, began his career with the U-19 of KFC Uerdingen 05 , from where he moved to the second team of VfL Bochum in 1999, for which he was in the Oberliga Westfalen in He scored 65 goals in 153 appearances. From 2001 to 2004 he was also part of the first team at VfL Bochum , where he made two appearances in the first Bundesliga under coach Peter Neururer in the 2002/03 season . In 2005 he moved to 1. FC Kleve in the Oberliga Nordrhein , where he stayed for two seasons and scored 16 goals in 61 games. Before the 2007/08 season he moved back to league rivals and his ex-club KFC Uerdingen, where he scored nine goals in 33 games. In the following season he moved to the NRW League for SSVg Velbert , where he scored three goals in 31 missions. He then played for two years each at Cronenberger SC and at his home club TSV Ronsdorf, where he ended his active career in 2013.

Velardi began his first coaching engagement in the amateur field at SSV 07 Sudberg in Wuppertal. Since 2015 he has been the coach of Grün-Weiß Wuppertal .
