Lucie Švancerová lives in Šternberk and has been doing skeleton since 2006. Since 2006 she has also been a member of the Czech national team. In December of that year, she competed in her first European Skeleton Cup race in Königssee and finished in 14th place. The following race was the European skeleton championship in February 2007 in Königssee, in which Švancerová was 16th. In December 2007, the Czech moved up to the newly created Skeleton Intercontinental Cup and finished 17th in her first race in what is now the second highest skeleton racing series in Cesana Pariol . At the Junior World Championships in 2008 she came in 24th place.
