Lucien Bidinger (born June 8, 1917 in Syren ; † November 14, 1982 in Dudelange ) was a cyclist from Luxembourg .

Athletic career

Bidinger began cycling in 1936 at the Vélo Sport Mamer club. In 1938, Lucien Bidinger won a stage of the Tour of Luxembourg for juniors and was fourth overall. He then worked as a professional cyclist for two seasons. In 1938, in the first year, he started the Tour de France , but retired on the fifth stage after having finished fifth on the previous stage. At Paris – Roubaix in the same year he was 68. In 1940 he was the only driver to contest the Luxembourg road championship over 80 kilometers, but the title was not awarded to him because the specified time was exceeded. After the war, he tried unsuccessfully to make a comeback in two races in 1945.
