Ludolf Erich von Lersner

Ludolf Erich von Lersner (born January 8, 1713 in Frankfurt am Main , † January 30, 1773 in Slagelse ) was a royal Danish major general and most recently chief of the Jutland cuirassier regiment.

He comes from the Frankfurt patrician family Lersner . His parents were Friedrich Maximilian von Lersner (1671–1739) and his wife Susanne Cathrine Baur von Eysseneck (1677–1741)

He became a lieutenant on December 31, 1734. D. in the Friis Cavalry Regiment. Real lieutenant on September 30, 1735 and captain on September 6, 1731. On April 25, 1746 he received the character of a major and on January 3, 1748 Seconde major. On April 16, 1755 he became lieutenant colonel of the cavalry and on September 24th he became a real colonel and chief of the cavalry regiment. On May 31, 1767 the regiment was disbanded and Lersner became head of the Jutland Cuirassier Regiment. On July 22, 1769 he became major general and on September 30, 1771 he received his farewell.

He died unmarried on January 30, 1773 in Slagelse and was buried in the local St. Petrikirche.
