Ludvig Adam Theodor Restorff (born August 7, 1825 in Copenhagen , † April 22, 1896 there ) was a Danish painter .

Ludvig Adam Theodor Restorff was the second son of barber Christian Frederik Restorff (1792-1854), son of Lübeck- born Johann Martin Restorff (1762-1833), and his wife Anne Margrethe Kaalund (1797-1849).

Restorff received private lessons from Johann Ludwig Lund and then went to the Royal Danish Academy of Art . Among other things, he was a drawing teacher for Carl Bloch .

Theodor Restorff was married to Henriette Margrethe Engell Olsen (1824-1911) since 1854 and had the sons Niels (1855-1909) and Vilhelm Daniel (* 1864) with her.
