Ludwig Auspitz

Ludwig Auspitz ( March 20, 1859 in Leipzig - 1917 in Reichenhall ) was a German theater actor and opera singer ( baritone ).

Life

Auspitz, son of a merchant, appeared in public for the first time in 1878, after having been employed in a bank, in the episode of the “Pastor” in “Madonna of the Jew” at the Theater in der Josefstadt . Then he came to the Carolatheater in Leipzig, Ischl, Karlsbad, Reichenberg and Graz, where he made his debut as "Dawison" in Maria Stuart and stayed until 1888, in order to follow a call to the Hamburg City Theater in the same year (inaugural role: "Bote") in "Oedipus"). He also employed his husband in the opera. In 1915 he played in Hamburg.
