Ludwig Baur (theologian)

Ludwig Baur (born April 9, 1871 in Oberdettingen , Oberamt Biberach ; † January 14, 1943 in Starnberg ) was a Württemberg theologian and politician .

The son of the teacher Karl Ludwig Baur studied Catholic theology in Tübingen after attending grammar school . He was a member of the Alamannia fraternity . After his ordination he was a repetitionist at the Wilhelmsstift in Tübingen. In 1903 he became associate professor and in 1921 full professor for Catholic theology at the University of Tübingen. During the First World War he worked as a chaplain from 1914 to 1916. In 1925, Baur became a full professor of Catholic theology at the University of Breslau .

From 1919 to 1925 Ludwig Baur was a member of the Landtag of the Free People's State of Württemberg . He was a member of the German Center Party .
