Ludwig Curt von Ponickau

Ludwig Curt von Ponickau (* around 1838; † 1880) was a German administrative lawyer and Prussian district administrator .

Life

He came from the noble family von Ponickau and was the son of the superintendent von Ponickau from Mansfeld . He attended the Roßleben monastery school , which he left Michaelis in 1856 with the Abitur. He studied law at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the Ruprecht Karls University . He was a member of the Corps Marchia Halle (1857) and Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg (1858).

In 1872 he was appointed acting district administrator of the district Torgau in the administrative district of Merseburg of the Province of Saxony and successor of the late Max Graf von Seydewitz . In 1873 it finally took over this office, which it administered until 1880. He was also a member of the provincial parliament of the province of Saxony .
