Ludwig Nastansky

Ludwig Nastansky (born October 27, 1941 in Wernigerode ) is a German business IT specialist who works in the fields of information management and office management.

From 1991 until his retirement in 2009, Nastansky held a chair for business informatics at the University of Paderborn , where he headed the Groupware Competence Center.

Life

Nastansky received his doctorate in 1971 on "Structural analysis and optimization of mixed-integer linear programming problems on the basis of group theory" with Herbert Hax at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken.

From 1974 to 1985 Nastansky was professor for business administration, business informatics and operations research at the University of Paderborn . Before that, he was Professor Invité at the Université de Montréal from 1971 to 1972 and then Assistant Professor at the University of Saarland . From 1985 to 1991 he was professor for business informatics at the University of St. Gallen .

In research, Nastansky dealt in particular with workgroup computing and groupware , office and messaging systems, workflow management, project management, Internet and intranet applications.

Nastansky founded Pavosoft Information Management GmbH in 1990, which was taken over by Lotus Development Corporation in 1992 . In 1994 he founded Pavone Informationssysteme GmbH (Paderborn). Since the transformation of the legal form into an AG, Nastansky has been chairman of the supervisory board of PAVONE AG.

From 1993 to 1997 he was a member of the supervisory board of Peacock Computer AG in Bad Wünnenberg .
