Ludwig Pfyffer von Altishofen (Swiss Guard)
Ludwig Pfyffer von Altishofen (* 1612 ; † 1686 ) from the Lucerne patrician family Pfyffer von Altishofen was the 11th commandant of the Swiss Guard from 1658 to 1686 .
He served under Popes Alexander VII , Clement IX. , Clemens X. and Innocent XI. His successor also came from the Pfyffer von Altishofen family.
