Ludwig Sebus
Ludwig Sebus (born September 5, 1925 in Cologne ) is a German Krätzchensinger , composer and lyricist.
Life
He grew up as the son of a goldsmith in Cologne. In 1943 he was drafted as a soldier and came to Russia, from where he did not return to Cologne from captivity until the end of 1949. In 1950 he joined the Altermarktspielkreis , after which he applied to the literary committee of the Cologne Carnival Festival Committee , where he was prepared for his upcoming stage appearances for three years. He had his first great success in the 1954/1955 session with the song "Every stone in Cologne eß e stock vun deer". Since then he has performed regularly at the Cologne Carnival and many of his appearances and concerts have been broadcast on television and radio, for example the concert on his 70th birthday in the Cologne Philharmonic. Over the decades he has written various songs both for himself and for other performers, including various marches for carnival societies and dance corps.
In later years he often appeared with other interpreters of the Cologne Carnival under the name Melodienreigen and sang his own songs, classics from Cologne's lieder by Willi Ostermann , Gerhard Jussenhoven , Karl Berbuer and others.
Sebu's wife Lilo (born June 29, 1924) died after 63 years of marriage on April 4, 2019 with the family in Ossendorf . The couple has four children, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
