Ludwig Storbeck

Ludwig Adolf Helmut Storbeck (born April 18, 1886 in Wittenberge , † April 10, 1966 in Dahl ) was a German historian and high school teacher.

Life

Ludwig Storbeck's parents were the engine driver Louis Storbeck and his wife Luise geb. Voigt . He attended the boys' middle school for six years and the secondary school in his hometown for one year. Then he moved to the city ​​high school in Halle , where he obtained his school-leaving certificate on September 6, 1905 . He then studied history , classical philology and philosophy at the Friedrichs University Halle and the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . On January 13, 1910, he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD . His doctoral supervisor was Theodor Lindner . On December 10, 1910, he passed the first teaching examination and on February 18, 1911 the extension test. He was qualified to teach history, Latin and Greek for high school. At the Latina of the Francke Foundations he completed his seminar year in 1911/12 and his probation year at the cathedral high school in Halberstadt in 1912/13. From 1913 to 1914 he was a teacher at the Domgymnasium Magdeburg and from 1914 to 1916 at the Domgymnasium Naumburg . From 1916 he was a senior teacher at the Stendal grammar school.

Storbeck did especially with publications on the Altmark out history. He also dealt with urban planning issues.
