Ludwig Weinberger (teacher)
Ludwig Weinberger (born March 16, 1911 in Pfaffstätt ; † March 17, 1966 in Gledt near Mettmach ) was an Austrian teacher and Quaternary researcher .
Life
Ludwig Weinberger began his career as a primary school teacher, later teaching geography and natural science at various secondary schools, since the end of the war in Aspach in the Innviertel .
He began to walk around and map his home early on. The University of Innsbruck also recognized his precise work and soon awarded him honorary membership. At that time Weinberger was already known to foreign experts, among other things through his work 100 Years of Ice Age Research in Upper Austria . Since then he has also made himself available as an excursion leader and lecturer in teacher training seminars and universities. He was also in close contact with the University of Colorado, where his work Eiszeit in Austria was also printed.
In March 1966 he died very early from several diseases, including brain wasting in his home in Gledt.
