Ludwig Wilhelm Benz

Ludwig Wilhelm Benz (* 1611 in Kinzheim ; † February 11, 1683 ) was a German bishop and auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt .

On January 20, 1664, Benz was ordained a priest for the diocese of Eichstätt. On January 31, 1656 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt and titular bishop of Dardanus . On April 30, 1656 consecrated him Marquard II. Schenk von Castell , Bishop of Eichstatt, with the assistance of Kaspar Zeiler , Apostolic Administrator of Augsburg , and Sebastian Denich , Auxiliary Bishop of Regensburg , the bishop . He assisted in the consecration of Philipp Valentin Albrecht Voit von Rieneck and Jaroslav František Ignác von Sternberg .
