Franz Christoph Rinck von Baldenstein

Franz Christoph Rinck von Baldenstein (born January 21, 1641 in Jonschwil , † May 6, 1707 in Eichstätt ) was a German bishop and auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt .

Franz Christoph Rinck von Baldenstein was a son of Ignaz Balthasar Rinck von Baldenstein, who was in the service of the Prince Abbey of St. Gallen . In 1655 he became canon in Basel , in 1657 domicellar in Eichstätt. From 1657 he studied at the Jesuit College in Freiburg im Breisgau and from 1661 to 1664 at the Collegium Germanicum in Rome. After he was ordained a priest for the diocese of Eichstätt on January 20, 1664 , he was capitular in Basel from 1665 to 1687 and in Eichstätt from 1671.

On May 15, 1684 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Eichstätt and titular bishop of Amyclae . On November 12, 1684, Johannes Eustache Egolf von Westernach , auxiliary bishop of Augsburg , consecrated him as bishop . He ordained ten bishops.

Associated with the office of auxiliary bishop was the provost office of the collegiate monastery of St. Nikolaus in Spalt .
