Ludwig Bastard von Nassau (also Ludwig von Nassau-Beverweerd , * 1602 , † February 28, 1665 in The Hague ) was lord of Beverweerd , Odijk and Lek.

Life

Ludwig (Dutch: Lodewijk , called Lowys ) was born in 1602 as the illegitimate son of Prince Moritz of Orange and Margaretha van Mechelen . In 1625 he received the Beverweerd house and the Odijk rule from his father. In 1627 he inherited the rule of Lek from his brother Wilhelm von Nassau-LaLecq .

He became major general and governor of Bergen op Zoom in 1643 , governor of 's-Hertogenbosch in 1658 and ambassador to London in 1660 as confidante of Maria Henrietta Stuart .
