The shop pavilion Ludwigstrasse 1 in Ludwigstrasse in Bad Kissingen , the major district town of the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , as well as the associated staircase leading to the neighboring rose garden belong to the Bad Kissingen architectural monuments and are under the number D-6-72-114- 262 registered in the Bavarian Monument List .

history

The shop pavilion was created in 1913 when the driveway leading from the city to the Ludwigsbrücke was redesigned as part of the new construction of the Bad Kissingen Ludwigsbrücke and the Regentenbau . The architect who planned the pavilion was Hans Husslein. It is possible that the architect Max Littmann, who was responsible for the modernization of the Ludwigsbrücke, was also involved in the design of the shop pavilions in his function as special commissioner and architect of the Regenten building opposite ; How far his influence reached here can no longer be clarified.

The house has a mansard roof , corner pilasters and drilled window frames. Next to the property, a staircase leads to the rose garden behind . On the back of the house facing the rose garden there is a toilet facility.

From 1973 to February 2016 there was a bookshop on the front of the house facing Ludwigstrasse and Ludwigsbrücke. As part of the redesign of the rose garden, a vinotheque from Hammelburg moved into the building.
