Ludwik Solski , born Ludwik Napoleon Karol Sosnowski (born January 20, 1855 in Gdów , † December 19, 1954 in Cracow ) was a Polish actor , director and theater director .
Life
From 1876 until his death in 1956, Ludwik Solski played for eighty years in almost all Polish theaters in over 1,000 roles as well as in four Polish pre-war films. The last time he was on stage was when he was 99 years and six months old. He was married three times, including the actress Irena Solska , and after his death was buried in the crypt of deserving Poles on Skałka Hill under the Pauline Church in Kraków 's Kazimierz district . The Cracow Theater School and the Tarnów City Theater are named after him.
