The Lower Saxony air hygiene monitoring system is a network of 25 measuring points for air pollutants in Lower Saxony .

20 measuring points are located in larger cities in Lower Saxony such as Hanover , Braunschweig and Göttingen , 5 measuring points in rural areas and ecosystems, such as on the Wurmberg in the Harz Mountains, on the East Frisian Islands and at the mouth of the Elbe .
