The Lufupa is a river in Zambia

course

The river is a right tributary of the Kafue . It rises about 10 km southwest of Kawana and is about 230 kilometers long. The course is south-southeast and leads through the Busanga swamps . Its mouth lies above the Itezhitezhi Dam in the Kafue National Park .

Its course runs through the animal-rich Miombo forests . The banks in the national park are a popular tourist destination. They are well developed with camps with lodges.
