Lugenheim

Lugenheim is a deserted area in the Taubenheim corridor in the municipality of Klipphausen in the district of Meißen , Saxony .

The Lugenheim desert is located in the center of the municipality of Klipphausen and thus in the south of the district of Meißen. The place of the desert is subject to agricultural use. It is located on a hill between the valley of the Kleine Triebisch near Taubenheim and the valley of the Gallenbach near Seeligstadt . Other surrounding, still existing settlements are Lampersdorf in the east and Piskowitz in the northwest. To the south the terrain rises to the Baeyerhöhe .

The place was first mentioned in 1311 as "Luginheim" or "Luginhein", in 1334 it was called "Lugenheym". In 1350 Lugenheim was referred to as a "villa", or village. It was parish in 1428 in the neighboring Taubenheim.

In 1547, the ten Hufen land in Lugenheim were then desolate, the place was apparently uninhabited at that time. As a "lung home" it appears in a document in 1696 when it was under the Taubenheim manor . In 1723 four gardeners and seven were peeping Home Häusler resident. In the 19th century there was still a sheep farm in the village, from which the current street name "Schäfereiberg" goes back. In the 19th century, the hill between Seeligstadt and Taubenheim was called "the Lugheim".
