Luigi Antonio Sabbatini

Luigi Antonio Sabbatini (* 1732 in Albano Laziale , † January 29, 1809 in Padua ) was an Italian composer and music theorist . He studied music in Bologna in the convent of the Franciscan under Father Giovanni Baptista Martini . In 1789 he published a textbook on the theoretical elements of music in three volumes and in 1802 a treatise on fugues . He also contributed to the topic of using numerical signatures for musical harmony.
