Luigi Chiarini
Luigi Chiarini (born July 20, 1900 in Rome , † November 12, 1975 in Rome ) was an Italian screenwriter , film director and film critic .
Life
As a journalist and film critic, Chiarini was the founder and first director of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 1935 , the library of which is named after him today. He wrote numerous publications on film practice and theory and worked as a screenwriter , was director of the Venice Film Festival and directed five films himself between 1942 and 1949, which also dealt with the emerging neorealism .
