Luis Alfredo Béjar

Luis Alfredo Béjar (* 1942 ; † July 10, 2011 in Toledo ) was a Spanish local politician of the Partido Comunista de España (PCE), teacher and writer .

Life

After studying, Béjar worked full-time at the El Greco secondary school in Toledo and was also involved in local politics in the Partido Comunista de España, which he temporarily represented as a member of the Toledo City Council .

His more important novels include El coleccionista de agujeros (1981) and Un error de cálculo (2010). For his literary work, which has also been translated into Russian , among other things , he has received several literary prizes such as the Eulalio Ferrer Prize for novels, the José Hierro Prize, the Sésamo Prize and the Castilla-La Mancha Novel Prize .

Other of his novels were Aquello es lo que llamábamos Berlín , El manuscrito de París and La catedra as well as the volume of poetry Donde viven las cosas . The last work by Béjar, La razón de las piedras , was published posthumously in 2011.
