Luis Algorri

Luis Fernando Perez Algorri (born May 8, 1958 in León , Spain ) is a Spanish journalist and writer .

After studying the humanities, Algorri wrote for various Spanish newspapers, including El País , El Independiente , El Tiempo and Diario 16 - for this paper as a columnist and member of the editorial board. He works as a singer and director in Spain and has made a name for himself in the Spanish music press as an opera critic. He writes regularly in gay and lesbian publications such as Odisea , Shangay and Zero and has also appeared as a translator from Catalan, in particular the novel Isaac y els dubtes by Lluís Maria Todó (Editorial Odisea, Madrid 2014), which was in Spanish in an earlier, uncensored Version appeared. He also writes regularly about the Catholic Church and is a member of the Asociación de Periodistas de Información Religiosa (German: Association of Journalists for Religious Information). His first novel, You Hear From Me , achieved great success in Spain and was translated into five languages. He then contributed a short story to the anthology Tu piel en mi boca (Editorial Egales, Barcelona 2004).
