Luis "Terror" Días (born June 21, 1952 in Bonao , † December 8, 2009 in Santo Domingo ; actually Luis Díaz Portorreal ) was a Dominican rock and jazz musician.

Díaz had music lessons from Juan Zorrilla and Tatán Jiménez and founded his first band Los Chonnys when he was sixteen . In 1972 he became the guitarist of the group Convite , which collected and played folk music of the Dominican Republic and was active in the resistance against President Joaquín Balaguer . The song Obrero acepta mi mano , composed by Díaz, became the official theme of the Siete Días con el Pueblo festival .

After Convite broke up in 1978, Díaz founded the Madora group , which fused Antilles folklore with jazz. From 1980 to 1982 he lived in New York, where he held workshops on the Dominican Republic and was influenced by heavy metal .

After his return he founded the group Transporte Urbano , the first Dominican rock band, with guitarist Juan Francisco Ordóñez . Since 1999 he has led the band La Victoria . In addition to his own albums, he also made recordings with Sergio Vargas , Wilfrido Vargas , Sonia Silvestre , Rafael Solano , Alex Bueno , Fernando Villalona , Marc Anthony and others.
