Luisito Martí ( Luis Bernardo Martí Hernández ; born February 1, 1945 in Santo Domingo ; † January 3, 2010 ibid) was a Dominican musician, actor, film producer and television presenter.

Martí began his career as a percussionist and choir singer in the orchestra of Johnny Ventura . He soon became known there with titles such as La Muerte de Martín , Que pasa Papo , Te digo ahorita and Mama es la que sabe and a humorous moderator of the orchestra's performances. With his songs he won several gold records . In 1976 he founded his own orchestra El Sonido Original , which was successful with titles such as Gato entre Macuto , Jaleo de Acordeón and El mudo .

In 1983 he switched to the comedy part of the Show del medio and soon became its director. Here he created the most popular humorous characters on Dominican television such as Casimiro Valdez, Belarminio, Cabrera Moquete, El chino Bichan, Leo, Don Efraín, El cubano, Lamparita, Filomeno, Leyito and Balbuena. The latter also became the protagonist of the films Nueva Yol ¡Por fin llegó Balbuena! (1995), Balbuena en Nueva yol - 2 (1996) and Nueba Yol III - Bajo La Nueva Ley (1997), all directed by Ángel Muñiz and starring Adalgisa Pantaleón and Raúl Carbonell .

After heart problems, Martí fell ill with stomach cancer in 2008, which he succumbed to in January 2010 at the Centro de Diagnóstico, Medicina Avanzada y Telemedicina (CEDIMAT) in Santo Domingo.
