Adalgisa Pantaleón (* in San Francisco de Macorís ) is a Dominican singer and actress.

Pantaleón grew up in a musical family and sang as a child and youth in the school and church choir and at celebrations in their district. In 1971 she took part in the first Festival Nacional de la Voz , organized by Rafael Solano , where she won third prize. She subsequently appeared with musicians such as Raphael , Danny Rivera , Néstor Torres and Felo Bhor and received international and national awards such as El Cassandra , La Cotorra , El Gordo de la Semana and Lo Nuestro .

She made her debut as an actress in the program De Noche . She then appeared as a comedian in Con Cuquín and El Show de Roberto Salcedo . In 1980 she made her theater debut under the direction of Jaime Lucero in Te juro Juana que tengo ganas and then played in the pieces Shampoo, rinse y anchoitas , La Cuarterona , Caperucita Roja , Enriquillo , Cosas de papá y mamá and La sirvienta es peligrosa .

Since 1989 she has performed as a singer in the group 4-40 of Juan Luis Guerra in Latin America, the USA and Europe and received the Latin Grammy with them in 1991 . In 1995 she published the collection of poetry Mi Silencio Roto , which has been praised by writers such as Juan Bosch , José Rafael Lantigua and Chiqui Vicioso . As an actress in the film Nueba Yol 3 , directed by Ángel Muñiz and alongside Luisito Martí , she received an award from the Asociación de Cronistas del Espectáculo in 1997 . With Juan Luis Guerra, Chichi Peralta , José Antonio Rodríguez and Jorge Taveras , she recorded an album of Caribbean music under the title Al Son del Sol .
