Luizo was bishop of the diocese of Brandenburg from 1023 to 1030 .

Life

It was consecrated by Archbishop Gero von Magdeburg in 1023. He was head of a diocese that had largely reverted to the Slavs since the Slavic uprising in 983 . The bishops actually lived in exile. He was present at the court of King Konrad II in Paderborn in 1025 and took part in the Imperial Council in Frankfurt am Main in 1027 .

After Konrad's attacks on Poland in 1029, he tried to move to the eastern parts of the diocese. He was captured during the Polish attack by Mieszko II. Lambert on the Saxon border areas. He likely perished in captivity.
