Lukas Göbl

Lukas Göbl (born January 28, 1977 in Vienna ) is an Austrian architect and draftsman.

Career

Lukas Göbl studied architecture from 1997 to 1999 at the Technical University of Vienna and from 1999 to 2005 at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in the master class of Wolf D. Prix . From 2006 to 2009 he taught design and presentation methodologies at the private university of the creative industries . In 2009 Lukas Göbl founded the Office for Explicit Architecture and from 2011 was also managing director of Göbl Architekten ZT GmbH with his father, architect Fritz Göbl. After the merger of the two offices in 2014, he became the sole managing director of Göbl Architektur ZT Ges.mbH. In 2019, the company was renamed to goebl architecture due to its international orientation.

In 2009, together with Florian Medicus and Oliver Ulrich, he founded the New Frontiers association for the promotion of experimental architecture. In 2018 Göbl became a member of the Lower Austrian Design Advisory Board.

He is married to the actress Barbara Göbl-Kramer and lives in Vienna. They have a son (* 2016) together.
