Lukas Lamprecht
Lukas Lamprecht (born May 7, 1869 in Bad Hall , † March 18, 1941 in Linz ) was an Austrian dialect writer and composer .
Life
Lamprecht, who originally trained as a turner , became a postman in Bad Goisern in 1897 , and in Linz from 1899. After passing the service exams, Lamprecht took over the management of the Scharten post office . From 1910 he was employed as a postmaster in Weibern . He received personal support from the writer Adolf Freund in Weitra ; a spa guest from Vienna took care of his language education .
Act
Lukas Lamprecht showed himself to be versatile. Even as a country mailman, he wrote two folk plays and dialect poems for the "Salzkammergut newspaper" . Taught music by a bandmaster , he composed songs, Schuhplattler among other things with zither accompaniment . In his stage plays he also worked as an actor. As a writer and actor, Lukas Lamprecht had performance successes with his small, mostly unprinted theater pieces thanks to accurate character drawings and realistic dialogues.
