Lukas Menkhoff

Lukas Menkhoff (* 1958 in Aachen ) is a German economist and has headed the World Economy Department at DIW Berlin since spring 2015 . He is also a professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

Live and act

Lukas Menkhoff studied economics at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg from 1978 to 1983 and received a scholarship from the Friedrich Naumann Foundation . In 1985 he received his doctorate summa cum laude from the University of Freiburg and completed his habilitation in 1994. His previous positions as professor include the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel , the Leibniz University Hannover and the RWTH Aachen . His research interests are international financial markets and financial development.
