At the end of 2016, after a successful crowdfunding campaign, Mord im Second was published as a complete printed edition by kladde Buchverlag . The e-book series Hängende Spitze and Instamord followed in 2016, and in autumn 2017 the fourth crime thriller with the investigative duo Vera Rosen and Moritz Ritter appeared with a lap of honor . The printed complete edition of Instamord was published in October 2017 in the TEXT / RAHMEN publishing program, the round of honor will follow in December 2017 by the same publisher.

Pellmann's thrillers are characterized, among other things, by the interactive involvement of the readers. During the four to five-week live publication period of the respective crime thriller, they can provide tips and hints for the investigation via WhatsApp and e-mail, the content of which will be taken into account by Pellmann in the further course of publication. You can follow Commissioner Moritz Ritter via Instagram and Twitter . “The involvement of the readers gives the crime thriller an additional dynamic, which I find very exciting for my writing process.” Pellmann reads excerpts on the day of publication so that those interested who do not want to download the individual e-book parts can follow the action the respective e-book part in a location that also appears in the crime thriller. At every reading there is a musical special act that is also part of the crime story. Thanks to a cooperation with IGers Austria, the entire Instagram community was able to support the investigative duo in the hunt for a serial killer in Pellmann's third crime thriller Instamord . “During the period when the thriller was published, I slip into the virtual role of Moritz Ritter and take part in numerous Instawalks, which means that readers can look over his shoulders via his Instagram account, for example.” There was also a community event especially for Instamord called Instawalk, organized by the UNIQA Tower on the Danube Canal. “Of all the existing social media channels, Instagram currently seems to me to be the one through which one can best make exciting contacts in the offline reality and set up interesting joint activities. Therefore, it is also best suited for mixing reality and fiction, ”emphasized Pellmann in an interview with futurezone.at. The plot of Mord im Second concentrated almost exclusively on the second district of Vienna, Leopoldstadt and its history. “The character of Chief Inspector Vera Rosen reveals her dark past from one novel to the next. Pellmann interweaves the historically significant history of the Jewish quarter with his character and thus creates a connection to reality and his Grätzl. ”The crime sequels took the investigator duo into the entire Vienna urban area, although the focus of the plot continues in the second District lay. In his crime novels, Pellmann draws on current social events, for example, in Mord im Second , he addressed the discussion about migration movements to Europe as well as the disputes about the consumption-free use of public spaces in Vienna. At the same time, Mord im Second with the main location Karltheater pays homage to the formerly diverse theater and cinema scene in Leopoldstadt, which almost completely came to a standstill in the post-war period.
