Luke Jordan
Luke Jordan (born January 28, 1892 in Bluefield , West Virginia , USA , † June 25, 1952 in Lynchburg , Virginia ) was an American blues guitarist and singer.
In August 1927 he recorded his first pieces with Victor Records in Charlotte, North Carolina , and more followed in New York in November 1929. Then the Great Depression ended his short career. His most famous songs are Church Bells Blues , Pick Poor Robin Clean and Cocaine Blues , which has been covered several times .
On August 15, 2001, he was dedicated a memorial plaque in Lynchburg by the James River Blues Society.
