Luminița Talpoș
Luminița Talpoș (born October 9, 1972 in Craiova ) is a Romanian long-distance runner .
In 1999 and 2004 she became the Romanian road running champion , and in the 1999 World Half Marathon Championships she was eighth.
At the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in 2003 in Paris / Saint-Denis, she finished 18th. Earlier this year she finished sixth in the Osaka Women's Marathon with 2:27:32 hours.
In 2007 she won the Vienna City Marathon . At the 2007 Road Running World Championships , she finished eighth in her best half marathon time of 1:09:01; she was the best native European in this race.
In 2008 she won again in Vienna with her personal best of 2:26:43 h.
