Band history

Andrea Dätwyler at the Rocksound Festival 2008

The foundation stone of Lunatica was laid in the winter of 1998 in Suhr, Switzerland by Alex Seiberl and Sandro D'lcau when they were writing their first lyrics. Andrea Dätwyler joined the band as a singer in 2001. With her, the debut album Atlantis was released in the same year . It wasn't long before the second album, Fables & Dreams , followed after Atlantis . This was released in Switzerland on February 16, 2004 together with the producer Sascha Paeth .

In August 2006, their third album, The Edge of Infinity , was released, on which they had been working since winter 2005. One of the highlights of this album is the voice of Dieter Meier ( Yello ) in the intro song. With their album The Edge of Infinity , Lunatica made it into the Swiss charts for the first time . They reached number 76 and stayed in the Swiss charts for a total of four weeks. On February 27, 2009, the fourth studio album New Shores was released. As with the album The Edge of Infinity , John Payne (ex- Asia ) contributed a song. With Jimi Jamison (ex- Survivor ) another well-known artist is working on this album.
