Sascha Paeth (born September 9, 1970 in Wolfsburg ) is a German guitarist, bassist, music producer and prominent sound engineer . a. works with metal bands like Angra , Shaman , Rhapsody of Fire , Kamelot , Epica , Redkey , After Forever , Luca Turilli , Edguy , Tobias Sammets Projekt Avantasia and many others.

Together with keyboard player and arranger Michael “Miro” Rodenberg and Olaf Reitmeier, he runs a recording studio in Wolfsburg called “Gate Studios”, which was initially used for the recordings of his former band Heavens Gate . The studio team has been completed by Simon Oberender since 2007.

He has produced a number of albums in collaboration with Michael Rodenberg. In 2004 he produced Days of Rising Doom , a metal opera in which many guest musicians from the heavy metal sector took part as the band "Aina".

He was the producer, sound engineer and guitarist for The Scarecrow by Avantasia , which was released in 2008 in collaboration with Tobias Sammet and other musicians from the rock and metal scene. For this album he was awarded the Golden Bobby by the Association of German Tonmeister .

In 2011 he started working on his new project The Wirepushers together with multi-instrumentalist and Avantasia bassist Robert Hunecke on drums and Simon Oberender on bass.

Paeth is co-initiator of the non-profit project Die Plantage - Raum zum Wachsen, a planned cross-generational meeting and exercise center (focus on music, ecology and nature, social encounters, exercise and health promotion) in the south of Wolfsburg, as well as a founding member of the association "Raum zum Wachsen eV"
