Oliver Hartmann (born June 28, 1970 in Rüsselsheim ) is a German songwriter , singer , producer and guitarist . He was the singer of the power metal band At Vance and worked in international rock and metal productions with Avantasia , Edguy and Rhapsody of Fire, among others . Hartmann is the head of his AOR band HARTMANN and a permanent member of the Pink Floyd co-association Echoes . His voice has a volume of four octaves .

Hartmann started taking guitar lessons at the age of ten and then founded his first bands at the age of 13, including HEAT, which won the 1989 Rock Prize. It wasn't until he was 18 that he began to concentrate increasingly on singing and began collecting as a guitarist and singer in cover bands (including with the band Spider, mainly known in southern Germany ) with over 100 appearances per year and CD productions studio and stage experience. In 1997 he founded the band Centers , from which the power metal band At Vance developed in 1999 and helped him to international success. Under the name At Vance, four albums were released with him as a singer, until he left the band in 2003 and joined the Italian Band Empty Tremor changed. There he recorded the album The Alien Inside . After a year he left Empty Tremor and founded his solo band Hartmann , under which he released the first album Out In The Cold in 2005. With Hartmann , however, he moved more and more away from metal, musically the sound carrier can be assigned more to Melodic Rock and AOR .

Hartmann played in 2006 as the opening act for Toto on some concerts of their European tour. In 2007 the album Home followed , of which a live CD and a live DVD called Handmade were released in March 2008 . After frequent live concerts and the release of album 3 in November 2009, Hartmann appeared as a special guest of Mother's Finest or Uriah Heep . In April 2012 he and his band completed the recordings for the new Hartmann studio album Balance , which was released in June. In September 2013 a best of album followed with the title The best is yet to come .

His voice can be heard on international productions such as B. Avantasia , Genius and Aina as choir parts for Hammerfall , Helloween , Edguy and Iron Mask. Hartmann is particularly active in the choirs that are important for Power Metal ( backing vocals ) because of his high pitch range and recognition value. Oliver Hartmann also went on a European tour in January 2012 as guitarist and singer for Rock Meets Classic together with Ian Gillan , Steve Lukather and Robin Beck, among others .

In addition, Oliver Hartmann is the singer of the Pink Floyd co-association Echoes . Due to his accomplished guitar playing, he and Sascha Paeth are a permanent guitarist and background singer for Avantasia live performances. Hartmann is an endorser of FGN Guitars (own signature model) and Mesa / Boogie .
