Diezel amplification

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The structure of the company, which generates a large part of its sales in the export markets of the USA and Japan, is still familiar.

history

Diezel Herbert MKI

Founder and owner Peter Diezel was active as a guitarist in Munich in the 1980s. In the absence of adequate equipment and on the basis of training as a sound engineer and electrician, he began, like many others, for example the Bavarian amplifier manufacturer Reinhold Bogner, who later emigrated to the USA, not only to convert Marshall amplifiers , but to expand them considerably. At that time, when many guitarists were still out and about with racks the size of a refrigerator, Diezel implemented 4 independent channels in the VH4 model, which was also equipped with midi and different loop-in paths. The company Diezel GmbH was founded with the accomplished studio guitarist Peter Stapfer, who, unlike Diezel, had commercial experience. The VH4 model was presented worldwide for the first time at the 1994 Musikmesse. According to legend, the first VH4 came to the USA to a technician from the band Guns N 'Roses , who used it on various albums. Demand increased and in the following years, in addition to a stereo version (VH4S), the models "Herbert" (named after Diezel's father) and "Einstein" (named after Diezel's dog) were designed and produced.

today

In the meantime, the products have a very good reputation with many professional musicians from the rock and heavy sector, as Diezel repeatedly implements innovative concepts. The “Herbert” model was equipped with a further innovation for business: a midi-switchable “mid-cut” unit that can actively and independently of the selected channel lower the mids, so that the amplifier can use typical mid-rock sounds , as well as typical ultra-hard "scooped" sounds.

The amplifier models have been evaluated by the German and US trade press and some have been awarded prizes.

In addition to the amplifiers, the company offers loudspeaker boxes in common sizes up to full stacks.

Well-known users of this brand's amplifiers include: Matthew Bellamy ( Muse ), Billy Corgan ( Smashing Pumpkins ), Ian Crichton ( Saga ), Ian D'Sa ( Billy Talent ), Richard Fortus (Guns N 'Roses), James Hetfield ( Metallica ), Adam Jones ( Tool ), Richie Sambora ( Bon Jovi ) and Kalle Wallner ( RPWL , Blind Ego).
