The Lunder Chamber Choir ( Swedish : Lunds Kammarkör , English : Lund Chamber Choir ) is a mixed choir from the southern Swedish city ​​of Lund . The choir was founded in 1983 by Eva Svanholm Bohlin and for a long time the choir was attached to the Lund Cathedral School. Nowadays the choir is completely independent, but acts as one of the representative choirs of the Lund Cathedral . Eva Svanholm Bohlin directed the choir until 1983. Between 1984 and 2011 the choir was directed by Håkan Olsson Reising; In 2011 the choir chose Daniel Åberg as its new conductor.

The repertoire focus is on a cappella music from all epochs from the Renaissance to the present. Occasionally the choir also performs larger orchestral works such as Mozart's Requiem and Handel's Messiah . The latter was performed, for example, by the Lunder Chamber Choir in 2009 in the Trinity Church on Sloane Street in London with soloists and the orchestra of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama .

Since its inception, the choir has toured Europe, Asia and the USA and has also successfully participated in various choir competitions. In 2006 the choir was the only foreign choir to appear at the national meeting of the American Choral Directors Association in St. Louis . The Lunder Chamber Choir has given concerts in Stockholm (2007), Torrevieja in Spain (2009) and in Oxford and London (2009).
