Lundhags Skomakarna AB is a Swedish company, supplier to the royal family and official supplier to the Sirius patrol . Lundhags is internationally known for its quality and its high standards of environmental protection in production.
history
Lundhag's company history began in 1932 when Jonas Lundhag took over his father's shoemaking business near Östersund . At first only leather shoes and hiking boots were made, and in 1947 the first shoes made of cellular rubber. Due to the growth, the shoemaker moved to Järpen near Åre in 1973 . The equipment for a Mount Everest expedition in 1988 was an important event in the company's history .
The production of textiles began in 1997, a year later the factory was completely destroyed in a fire. After just one year of construction, the new factory building was inaugurated and occupied in 1999. The next expansion of the product range took place in 2000 with the introduction of the V-backpacks. From 2007 to the end of 2011 Lundhags was part of the Norrwin Group , which made expansion beyond Sweden possible. In January 2012 Lundhags was taken over by the Norwegian Swix Group .
Thanks to its environmentally friendly corporate strategy, Lundhags became a Norr Green Partner in 2011 .

In addition to hiking boots, for which the company is known, functional clothing, backpacks, touring skates and accessories for Nordic skating (touring ice skating) as well as leather care products are also manufactured. During production, care is taken to act as environmentally friendly as possible.
