Lupicinus (army master)
Flavius Lupicinus was a Roman military master ( magister militum ) in the 4th century AD and consul in 367.
Under Emperor Constantius II he was commissioned by Caesar Julian as magister equitum per Gallias in 359/360 with the fight against the Alemanni , Picts and Scots . Proclaimed the new emperor, Julian removed him from office in 360 and had him arrested on his return from Britain . After Julian's death in 363, his successor named Jovian Lupicinus magister equitum per Orientem . In the dispute between Emperor Valens and the usurper Procopius , he supported the emperor in 365/366 and was appointed consul with Iovinus for 367 .
