The Luppbode rises south of Allrode and flows in a northerly direction. In the further course it flows as a lively babbling brook parallel to the L93. In spring the Luppbode develops into a raging meltwater stream in places. It is one of the few tributaries that flow into the Bode on the right in the area of ​​the Bodeschlucht .
